Master Gardeners maintain the garden throughout the year and run the school Garden Club during the school year. The garden has a large array of perennials, shrubs, sedums & succulents, herbs and vines as well as plenty of room for vegetables.
Garden Club is an after school activity to teach the kids about plants, bugs, compost, soils and where their food comes from. Some recent garden club activites include soil preparation, lessons on bugs followed with a bug hunt, tasting and smelling herbs, garden produce in cooking, making bird feeders from pine cones, vegetable planting, "Bee Lady" visit, planting from seeds, and the school fall festival.
